Isle Royale National Park

Orientation Videos

Another project tackled with my production team, CinOptic, in college, the Isle Royale videos were some of my favorite.

This project involved a lot of pre-planning as it included 8 days of camping and shooting in Isle Royale National Park. After months of writing and storyboarding, we set out on a very unique shooting experience.

During this project, I learned a lot about team, time, and energy management. While we had done a lot of planning, beginning the editing phase was a daunting task and I had to sift through a mountain of footage. Through countless late nights, meetings with ISRO representatives, and lots of learning moments four videos were completed. Orientation for backpackers, daytrippers, boaters, and paddlers are now posted on the Isle Royale Facebook page, and three of the videos can be viewed here.

After an exciting and adventurous time on the island, we returned to the mainland to begin post-production. I personally did a majority of the editing on all of these videos over the next year, while still in school.
